Chris Dieckhaus, DPT
My name is Chris and I am a physical therapist at Advantage Therapy’s South Springfield and Ozark locations. My wife Suzi, our two kids, and I moved to Bolivar in 2004. I started working as a physical therapist at Advantage in June 2008. We’ve moved to Rogersville since then, bought horses, and had a third child. He’s 7 now, and in 2nd grade. I wonder where the time has gone!
Our oldest is in band, soccer, FFA, and confirmation classes at church. Our second is in band and speech & drama. Our youngest plays whatever sports he can at the parks department. If I wasn’t so busy running them everywhere, I might have time to ride my horses!
We have gaited horses, mostly foxtrotters. We like to ride on trails and enjoy nature and each other’s company. That seems to be what gaited horses are best at, so it works out well. I have a lot of respect for people who show, rodeo, or participate in other equestrian events; but I’m happy just to ride when I get the chance.
I love physical therapy and having the unique opportunity to help people regain their quality of life. When companies call needing a job site analysis or ergonomic assessment I am usually the lucky one who gets to go on-site to evaluate how employees do their work. I have experience in the manufacturing world as my father owned and operated a shoe components factory in central Missouri. Getting out of the clinic and going on-site is a nice change of pace and helps me to better understand how injuries occur and what we can do on the PT side to help regain strength and function.
Whether you need a rapid return to sport after a sprain or strain, are recovering from surgery, or need relief from chronic pain; I’m truly honored to be able to help.
