Brett Koehn, MS, PhtySt
Hello, My name is Brett Koehn, physical therapist at Ozzie Smith IMAC Regeneration Center in Springfield, MO. I’m a native of Enid, Oklahoma where I grew up working in my family’s auto parts store.
I attending University of Tulsa to earn my degree in Exercise and Sport Science. At Tulsa, I ran track and cross country. Some of my Cross Country and Track teammates were from Australia and New Zealand and suggested I attend graduate school overseas.
Knowing I didn’t want to pursue a career in the auto parts business, I took a long 16-hour plane ride to Australia and lived there for 3 years while attending the University of Queensland. While I’m happy to be back in the USA, I do miss the beaches, the coffee, and of course seeing koalas and kangaroos.
Most people don’t realize it, but a lot of manual therapy techniques originated in Australia. When I found out that manual therapy was the focus at Advantage Therapy – now Ozzie Smith Center… I knew right away this would be a good fit!
Outside of the clinic, I am spending lots of time getting to know Springfield, MO and all it has to offer. I am exploring running trails and things to do with my Brittany Spaniel! Her name is Brittany… creative, right?
I am interested in all aspects of outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation, especially conservative treatment of shoulders and knees. As an athlete, I am also interested in sports injury rehab and prevention.
